Cheap tongs fail in one of two ways. The spring gives out and they hang open in the drawer, or the tips are so blunt they cannot pick up a single rasher.
Why It Works
Scalloped tips that actually grip
The heads are shaped to hold a chop, a rasher or a fistful of salad without tearing through it. Flat-tipped tongs push food around instead of lifting it.
Spring tension that lasts
One-piece stainless construction with the tension built into the arm rather than a separate spring that fatigues and drops out.
Non-slip handle
Textured through the grip so wet or oily hands still have control at the barbecue, which is exactly when you do not want to drop something hot.
Long enough for the grill
Enough reach to work over coals or a hot plate without cooking the back of your hand.
One tool, two jobs
Substantial enough for the grill and clean enough in the hand to bring straight to the table for salad or bread.
